PM terms his US visit as successful

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has said that his visit to the United States has been successful in achieving the set targets. He was talking to newsmen in Manchester Thursday during a brief stopover on his way back home from Washington. The Prime Minister said that during his meeting with President Bush and interaction with other US leaders he found that they fully respect the sovereignty of Pakistan. He said the U.S. Senators have also welcomed stable democratic system in the country.

Where as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani has said that Prime Minister’s visit to Washington will have positive and far reaching affects on national economy and stability. In an interview, he said the financial support offered by the United States will also play an important role in resolving food problem in the country.-SANA
