No more blame game; Ruling coalition meets on July 23

ISLAMABAD: It would be disgrace of public mandate if the blame game was not abandoned, said Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. Addressing the MNAs and MPAs he said that the former rulers were misleading the nation about wheat production because of that wheat crisis had emerged. “We have no other option but only to solve flour crisis on preferential basis”, the PM said.

He said that the government would take every step to control the flour crisis. Meanwhile, during lunch with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, he shared views about appointment of committees’ chairmen and parliamentary secretaries.

According to news Ruling coalition partners will meet on July 23 to discuss the ongoing situation in the country. According to sources, the ongoing situation in tribal areas, law and order situation, war against terror and tirades of India and Afghanistan against Pakistan would be discussed in the meeting. The meeting will also decide about a joint session of the parliament to evolve effective strategy for countering criticism of India and Afghanistan.

The participants will also devise a plan to promote working relationship among the ruling parties. The meeting will also discuss the issues of restoration of pre-November 3rd judiciary and political, economical instability in the country. Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani would chair the meeting while PPP Co-Chairman Asif ALI Zardari, ANP President Asfandyar Walli and JUI Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman would also attend it and PML-N Quid Nawaz Sharief is expected to participate in the meeting.

Whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif will participate in the meeting of among the leaders of the ruling coalition in case the party Quid Nawaz Sharif’s expected arrival is delayed. The PML (N) sources said that early arrival of Nawaz is expected; however in case of delay Shahbaz will represent him in the meeting.
