MULTAN: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Monday said militants will not be allowed to take the people hostage. Talking to media here, the Premier clarified that the operation is being carried out by the civilian forces, and not the military. He said the Army is ready to extend its cooperation and help to the civil administration only when such need arises. We will talk to the political peoples but reiterated that no dialogue will be held with the militants, the Prime Minister said.
He said development projects will be initiated in tribal areas. We will try our best to find out the basic reasons behind the problems of these areas, he added. We enjoy good relations with the Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani clarified that the operation is against the Tribesmen in FATA. The Army comes only when the government seeks help from them.-SANA
