Musharraf rules out martial law

RAWALPINDI: President General Pervez Musharraf has said that there is no room for martial law in the country and he would keep working to strengthen democracy in the country. During a meeting with the leader of Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at his camp office here on Monday, Musharraf said that he could be address a joint session of parliament. Both the leaders discussed political and economical situation and other important issues during the meeting.

According to sources, President said that parliament has right for impeachment and he would accept its decision. He also praised the positive and constructive role played by the opposition in the parliament. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on this occasion assured president that they would continue their support on all issues including impeachment.-SANA
