ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the government is focusing on the provision of low-cost housing to the people to meet housing shortage in the country. He was talking to a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan here on Thursday. The Prime Minister said that the government is committed to realizing PPP’s vision of ‘Roti, Kapra and Makaan’ to ensure provision of these basic necessities of life to the people as was envisioned by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
He said steps are also being taken to solve the problems of the construction industry to ensure its seamless growth and progress. The Prime Minister formed a committee to look into the problems of the construction industry. The delegation informed the Prime Minister about the role and potential of the construction sector to improve the national economy through infrastructure development and employment generation. -SANA
