NA cuts NAB grant

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly has approved reduction of one hundred fifty million rupees from a demand for grant for National Accountability as the Finance Minister had announced to reduce its expenditure in his budget speech. The House gave unanimous approval to the reduced demand of four hundred seventy eight million rupees for the NAB in the next financial year. The Finance Minister Syed Naveed Qamar while moving revised demand for grant for NAB said that the government intends to reduce the role of this institution and ultimately wind it up as it has been symbol of political victimization.
