ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Monday approved supplementary demands for grant, appropriations and charged expenditure for the outgoing financial year. Overall three hundred and ninety-one billion rupees supplementary demands and charged expenditure were presented in the House for approval.
Winding up debate on supplementary budget Finance Minister Syed Naveed Qamar said that the government is determined to stay within the limit during the next financial year and no Ministry or Division would be allowed to over spend. He said excess expenditure during last year was result of bad policy and planning. Earlier taking part in the debate, the members objected to extra expenditures incurred by various ministries and said performance of these ministries and divisions is not satisfactory.-SANA
