WMA protest demo today

ISLAMABAD: The World Minorities Alliance (WMA) is holding a protest demonstration against the noncompliance of the constitution of ensuring respectable right to life for every citizen of the country, in front of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Press Club Camp Office on Saturday at 2.00 PM. The demonstration would offer special prayers for the restoration of all the deposed judges on this occasion with the firm confidence that an independent judiciary can guarantee all the legitimate rights of the minorities.

In this demonstration more then thousands of homeless people are to put dust and ash upon their heads along with their minor children to highlight the sufferings of the shelter-less masses. The demonstration would also protest against the denial to the minorities of their constitutional right of direct representation in the parliament and to lodge protest on this situation dust and ash is to be put on the head of the effigy of President General Retired Pervez Musharraf on this occasion. The demonstration is to be addressed by J. Salik Convener WMA to press for the demand of a shelter for each homeless family especially the crisis ridden minorities of the country.-SANA
