Lal Masjid students for Musharraf execution


ISLAMABAD: Lal Masjid administration has set up Ulema Action Committee and demanded punishment to President Pervez Musharraf in crime of killing of innocent male and female students. This was stated by speakers to protest rally of hundreds of students at place of Jamia Hafsa after Friday pray. The participants chanted anti-Musharraf slogans and demanded of his execution. Addressing the rally, Maulana Asadullah Abbasi demanded to immediate arrest of Pervez Musharraf and his comrades and trial them under charge of martyrdom of innocent male and female students.

He also demanded of immediate unconditional and honorable release of Maulana Abdul Aziz and file case against Interior Secretary and former Interior Minister. Maulana Asadullah Abbasi warned to launch countrywide protest unless immediate construction of Jamia Hafsa and open Jamia Fareedia for education. On this occasion, Maulana Qazi Nisar termed the person who wanted to give safe passage to Pervez Musharraf traitor. “Their struggle would continue till elimination of brutality, construction of Jamia Hafsa and opening of Jamia Fareedia. Maulana Sharif Hazarvi demanded to restore Lal Masjid its previous position and construct Jamia Hafsa. Maulana Abdul Karim said that the Ulema Action Committee was formed and they would abide every advice of the committee.

While Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has said that President Pervez Musharraf has not reigned nor he would step down. This was stated by the PML-Q MNA Engineer Amir Muqam and leader of opposition in the senate Kamal Ali Agha in their joint news conference at parliament house on Friday. The PML-Q leader made it clear that the President would not resign and termed reports suggested that he would not return to the country from foreign visit as rumors and baseless.
