KARACHI: Japanese Consul General in Karachi called on City Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal at his office on Saturday. During the meeting, various matters including situation in Karachi came under discussion. On this occasion, the Japanese Consul General appreciated City Government’s performance for the rapid progress and reconstruction in Karachi. He expressed hope that the process of development would continue. He called it a good omen that the city government in Karachi has especially focused those sectors, which ensured immediate convenience to citizens.
Kamal said that despite among the few biggest cities of the world, citizens in Karachi were deprived of the facilities available in other international cities. However the present city government has initiated a fast paced development process to complete development works in least time. He said that the Haq Parast leadership has a good understanding of the problems faced by the citizens in Karachi, therefore it did not needed any home work before taking on development works and the journey of development took off just after assuming charge of City Government.
City Nazim said that the three main problems of water, sewerage and traffic were focused especially and we had succeeded in solving these problems up to a great extent while the other important sectors like health care and education were also addressed to provide better facilities and convenience to people. He said that instead of making only verbal claims we have served the citizens practically and the process will continue.-SANA
