ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said the people have given verdict against Pervez Musharraf so he should quit the Presidency. In an exclusive chat with Geo News Nawaz Sharif said that appointment of the People’s Party’s governor would not unsettle his party’s government in Punjab.

Replying to a question Nawaz Sharif said the people have given verdict against Pervez Musharraf on Feb. 18 so he should quit the President House. He said Musharraf has not fulfilled his promise of relinquishing the president’s office. Nawaz Sharif said the required number of parliament members is available for impeachment of the president but it also needs heart. He said that the time to bring revolution had come. “I have made it clear to Asif Ali Zardari that if the judiciary is not restored he would also join in the lawyers movement,” he said. Addressing the program marking the 10th anniversary of Pakistan’s emerging as one of the nuclear powers of the world here at Awan-i-Iqbal, he said President Pervez Musharraf had promised to step down in case the people’s mandate goes against him on February 18. But he (President) failed to keep his word, Nawaz added.
