Pakistan celebrates Yum-i-Takbeer

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to celebrate the tenth Youm-i-Takbeer the political and social organizations will hold various functions on May 28. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will hold special functions to celebrate the 10th anniversary of first nuclear test. On this occasion the model of the Chaghi hills will be decorated at Faizabad, Rawalpindi.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan conducted its first nuclear test in Chaghi hills of Balochistan ten years ago, on May 28, 1998. The nuclear test not only made defence of Pakistan as invincible but it also maintained balance of power in South Asia. The then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had announced that anniversary of the nuclear test will be held every year and the day (May 28) was termed as Yum-i-Takbeer.-SANA
