ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (N) senior leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has demanded of the US to give up support of President Pervez Musharraf adds, no US pressure on PML-N. He stated this talking to newsmen after his meeting with visiting delegation of four US lawmakers held in Islamabad on Monday. Ch. Nisar said that he clarified on the US delegation that there were anti-US feelings in Pakistani people due to Bush administration support to President Musharraf and Washington should give up this policy. “The PML-N in favour joint work for Pak-US bilateral interest but cannot support unilateral interest” he added.
Ch. Nisar said that he informed the US delegation that it was common impression in Pakistan that the US did not want the restoration of the deposed judges. To a question, Ch. Nisar made it clear that they would not join the federal cabinet till restoration of the deposed judges in their November 2 position. Senator Russ Feingold, a member of the delegation met with the PML-N’s Chaudhry Nisar Ali and Muhammad Mehdi for talks on the political situation in the country. He said it was in the interest of the world community that the coalition of People’s Party and PML-N stay together.-SANA
