LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal Monday has said that in presence of President Musharraf conspiracies against democracy has continued. Addressing a press conference here on Monday he alleged the PCO judges were enforcing the agenda of President Musharraf and that of the Q League. He said approval of the nomination papers of Mian Nawaz Sharif for the bye-elections jolted the Presidency.
“Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif being stopped of playing their due constitutional role,” the PML-N leader said. He also played an audiotape in the press conference with conversation about rejection of the nomination papers of the Sharif brothers. Ahsan Iqbal said he received the cassette in a packet delivered at his office. He alleged that one of the voices recorded in the tape was that of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.-SANA
