Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples party Senator Asif Ali Zardari has expressed profound grief and shock over the assassination of Tariq Khan Sindh PML-N leader
KARACHI: Tension revisited Karachi as Pakistan Muslim League-N (Sindh) vice-President Tariq Khan was murdered two days ago. A handful of enraged persons burnt tyres and hurled stones on traffic at Quaidabad, Landhi, Korangi, Dawood Chowrangi. Windowpanes of a steel mills bus hit by stones injured two workers, while the shops and business in the area remained closed. Police resorted to mild baton charge for dispersing the rowdy crowd.
Tension prevailed in Malir, Mahmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Model Colony, Banaras Chowk, Pirabad, Frontier Colony, Mominabad, Baldia Town, Saeedabad, Sultanabad, Sohrab Goth, Kemari, Dawood Chowrangi and other areas, while traffic remained thin. Police and Rangers are patrolling the areas. ML-N (Sindh) has announced three days mourning on the murder of Tariq Khan. Sindh IG, Shoaib Suddle has constituted three teams for investigations into the murder.
Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples party Senator Asif Ali Zardari has expressed profound grief and shock over the assassination of Tariq Khan Sindh PML-N leader and called for early arrest of culprits and bringing them to justice. Tariq Khan Vice President of the Sindh PML-N was shot dead while driving his car at Shaheed-i- Millat Road in Karachi on Friday night. Several bullets were reportedly pumped into his chest and neck killing him instantly.
In a message on Saturday Senator Asif Ali Zardari said that the murder was a cowardly act and warned that the perpetrators of the crime will not escape retribution. “The killers must be brought to justice, they will be”. The PPP Co-Chairman also prayed for eternal rest to the soul of Tariq Khan and grant of patience to the members of the bereaved family.-SANA
