SWAT: Chief of the defunct Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi in Swat Valley Maulana Sufi Muhammad has said that the Europeans wanted Muslims to fight their fellow Muslims. Talking to Al-Jazeerah TV, Sufi said that his group will abide by the new peace agreement signed with the government if Islamabad fully enforces Islamic law or Shariah. The agreement includes gradual withdrawal of government troops from Swat and tribal areas. In return, the Taliban have pledged not to attack security forces and to surrender weapons.
He said some foreign elements in the United States and Britain wanted to de-rail the peace process and to sabotage the peace deal. He said such foreign elements including Europeans want to pit Muslims against Muslims, Pashtoons against Pashtoons and Pakistani against Pakistani.
