Fahmida urges Ulema to help build social harmony

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fahmida Mirza has urged the Ulema to extend their support to make Pakistan a land of peace and harmony. While talking to a delegation of the Iranian National Guardians, the Speaker said that Islam believe in peace, tolerance and harmony that should be pursued by the society as a whole and the ulema in particular. She said that Muslims should fight back the western misperception of extremism in Islam by observing tolerance and harmony in the society.

She added that the Muslims were faced with several challenges that could only be faced if they remained united. Dr. Mirza said that Pakistan wants peace in Iraq and Afghanistan as that is required for the development and prosperity of the region. She urged regional peace for development.-SANA
