Pakistan to provide relief assistance to Chinese quake victims: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan would provide relief assistance to China to help cope with the consequences of the devastating earthquake. In a message recorded by Radio China International on Wednesday, he said Pakistan would set up a field hospital and send relief goods including medicines and blankets. The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of life and property in the earthquake in China and said Government and people of Pakistan stood by their Chinese friends at this hour of trial. He said China is our time tested friend and the entire Pakistani nation sympathizes with Chinese people.
