Politics in Punjab, bye-Polls and meeting of MNAs of PPP

Lahore: Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab says polling for the bye-election in the province will be held on six national and seventeen seats of Punjab Assembly on 26th of next month as earlier announced. Talking to an official channel correspondent Athar Rasool in Lahore today he said more than thirty five hundred polling stations and eight thousand polling booths will be set up in the relevant constituencies to ensure a smooth and transparent election. Provincial Election Commissioner further said that publishing of ballot papers will start soon after finalization of candidates list.

While a combined meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party MNAs, Senators, MPAs, members Central Executive Committee (CEC) and Federal Council (FC) belonging to Punjab will be held in Zardari House in Islamabad on Wednesday Morning. Party’s Co-Chairman Senator Asif Ali Zardari who will return to Islamabad Tuesday night will preside over the meeting to take stock of the latest political situation in the country. After the meeting the PPP Co-Chairman will address a press conference at the Zardari House. Secretary General of the Party Mr. Jehangir Bader asked all the members to attend the meeting.
