Jamaat leaders’ vehicle sprayed with bullets by security force in Sakhakot

DARGAI: Some unidentified gunmen fired at the vehicle of Abdul Rashid Turabi, former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Azad Kashmir and former Member of Kashmir Assembly and Ghulam Nabi Noshehrawi, chief of Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami in held-Kashmir when they were traveling on Malakand Highway in Sakhakot here Saturday night.

According to details, the prominent leaders, along with some associates were on the way to Samar Bagh to condole with former NWFP Senior Minister Sirajul Haq on the demise of his father when their car, bearing registration number ISLAMABAD-LG 579, came under fire from a patrolling vehicle of the security forces. Jamaat-e-Islami Kashmir and NWFP has protested to the government and demanded for inquiry into the unprovoked and indiscriminate firing by the security forces on JI leaders.-SANA
