CDA, ISCO holding each other responsible for water crisis

ISLAMABAD: The differences have occurred between CDA and ISCO over water shortage and supply and they are blaming each other for affecting the supply system in the federal capital. According to reliable sources, the water crisis has become worst and there is no regulatory in the water supply in Islamabad and the main reason of its fault in hundreds of tubewells which created lot problems of the residents of the city.

The citizens strongly protest against administration. The post of Director Water Supply has being vacant in CDA for last several months and the people complains touched to thirteen thousands. The residents of Islamabad appealed to federal government to immediate resolve the water crisis. The CDA staffs are only registering the people complaints about water crisis but do not take any action.

According to the sources, the CDA Services Department officials submitted their report to high authority that loadshedding was the main reason of the affecting water supply and it added that the loadshedding was also damaging the devolvement projects in the city. Meanwhile, the ISCO officials said that the loadshedding was continuing according to schedule and there is no unannounced loadshedding in any part of the city. They suggested that the CDA officials should not operate tubewells near the time of loadshedding to avoid any fault on it.-SANA
