Owais calls on police personnel injured in suicide blast

BANNU: NWFP Governor Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani inquired after the health of the injured police escort who became victim of the suicide bomb blast at District Headquarter Hospital Bannu on Tuesday. The Governor went to each and every injured including Waheed Iqbal ASI as well as constables Aurangzeb, Irshad Khan and Safdar and apprised himself about the treatment facilities being provided to them. The Governor, who was accompanied by Regional Coordination Officer Mr. Attaullah Khan and DIG Police Mr. Masood Afridi wished early recovery of the injured. He also appreciated the courage and spirit of the injured police officials.

According to sources, NWFP Governor Owais Ghani was due to arrive in Bannu from Miranshah. After the attack, the governor paid visit to Bannu hospital and enquired about the police personnel who were injured as part of escort. NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has also condemned suicide attack in Bannu and issued directives for proper medical facilities to the people suffered injuries in suicide attack.

Owais briefed on Bannu situation
PESHAWAR: Regional Coordination Officer Bannu Attaullah Khan Tuesday briefed Governor NWFP Owais Ahmed Ghani about the law and order situation as well as pace of progress on development projects in Bannu District. Governor NWFP had arrived Bannu on the last leg of his two-day visit of the North Waziristan Agency. DIG Police Masood Afridi and other senior officials of the region MPA Ziyad Akram Durrani and District Nazim Azam Khan Durrani attended the briefing.
