Hamid Khan terms Pirzada, Malik of hatching conspiracies

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the lawyers’ community and former President Supreme Court Bar Association Hamid Khan has accused Sharifuddin Pirzada and Malik Qayyum of hatching conspiracies against restoration of judges. Conspiracies are being hatched by the presidential camp. People like Malik Qayyum are involved in it. The legal team of Pakistan Peoples Party is also collaborating in this regard, he told the VoG in an interview.

They are linking some other things with the restoration of judges. Sharifuddin Pirzada and Malik Qayyum were a party in advising the president for illegal action of November 3, he said. To a question that will such conspiracies prove successful, he said he don’t think so, Zardari Sahib should demonstrate wisdom. Big parties should fulfill their promise of restoration of judiciary, he added.

To another question that what will be the status of petitions if filed in the Supreme Court against the restoration of judges it they are not restored, Hamid Khan said no Supreme Court even exists until the restoration of judges and thus, no petition can be filed. About confrontation between the sitting judges and the deposed judges if reinstated, he said the Chief Justice can tackle this issue after the restoration of deposed judges.-SANA
