MIANWALI: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has expressed the determination of the government to take solid measures for socio-economic up gradation of the people particularly for promotion of education and provision of health facilities.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Namal Technical College at Rekhi near Mianwali Sunday afternoon. The Prime Minister said a qualitative education is basic right of every citizen and it is the prime responsibility of the Government to deliver this right to every citizen without any discrimination.
He said the Coalition government will come up to the expectations of the people as they are in the power to serve the nation. The Prime Minister announced a grant of thirty million rupees for the hostel facility in the College. He lauded the efforts made by Imran Khan in health and education sectors.
Addressing the ceremony, the Education Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that the Government is preparing a new educational policy under which a uniform syllabus will be implemented throughout the country.
The Minister expressed the hope that the deposed judges will be reinstated within thirty days according to the Murree Declaration. In his welcome address, the Chairman Mianwali Development Trust Imran Khan said the College will be upgraded to an international level university. Radio Pakistan correspondent Rao Sadiq Ali reports from Mianwali that Namal Technical College has been set up by Mianwali Development Trust in collaboration with Bradford University of Britain. The Trust has been established by Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.-SANA
