Judges’ restoration no more an issue: Farzana Raja
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party MNA Farzana Raja has said that the ruling coalition partners are moving in the right direction to resolve the issues faced by the government and the restoration of judges was no more an issue for the coalition set up. Talking to media outside the Parliament House, she said that coalition partners are moving forward with mutual understanding and the issue of judges’ reinstatement would be resolved in line with the Bhurban Declaration.
She said the judges’ restoration is no more an issue, as all major political parties are committed to restore deposed judges at the position as of November 2, 2007. She said that a draft resolution has almost been finalized by legal experts to present in the Parliament within a few days. At present, she said the leadership of coalition partners is going through the draft to make it more comprehensive and flawless resolution, she added. Farzana Raja said PPP has been struggling for independence of judiciary, rule of law and supremacy of the constitution since its inception.
