PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of NWFP Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that the peace agreement with leaders of the Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi will yield positive results and will lead to peace and economic progress of the province. Talking to Voice of America, Hoti expressed satisfaction over the agreement reached with TNSM and said that it would yield good result and expressed the hope he and his government will continue the reconciliation process.
He also said he is not in direct contact with any other organization, but indirectly he is keeping contacts and that will yield good results. He also indicated that he will call a Grand Jarga and for this purpose negotiations are continuing. He further said that within few days this Loya Jarga will be called and implementation on various recommendations will be started.
He said that according to the agreement with Sufi Muhammad and his companions they have promised they will continue their activities in a peaceful manner and will abide by the rules of the state and will not become involve in any kind of terrorism. He added that the most benefit aspect of the agreement is that negotiations for peace are continuing in Afghanistan, and also in Pakistan peace process is going on.
