EC decides reformation election rules

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to introduce reforms in existing laws and election rules. Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Qazi Muhammad Farooq has established an eight-member committee for reforms in electoral laws and rules and regulations. The electoral reforms committee will propose reforms in existing laws and election rules. A proposal on reforms will be forwarded to the CEC for approval.

The committee is led by the Secretary of the Election Commission Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad. Provincial Election Commissioners of Punjab and Sindh, Joint Secretary EC, Joint Secretary Administration, Joint Secretary Local Government Elections, D.G. IT are members of the committee.-SANA
