Flats, houses to be built for federal Govt. employees: Kakar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Housing & Works, Rahmatullah Kakar announced here Sunday construction of more flats, apartment will be launched very soon for all categories of Federal Government employees and general public in the four provinces and Islamabad. In a statement issued here today, Rahmatullah Kakar said that one thousand flats would be built in the first phase for government employees in G-10 and G-11 sectors of Islamabad. One thousand flats would also be built in Islamabad to provide accommodation to the people.

The Federal Minister said that one million houses would also be constructed in the country to overcome shortage of accommodation. He said 234 acres of land has also been identified in Kuri Road Islamabad for the construction of town houses for the officers of various occupational groups. The Federal Minister said that the general public including doctors, lawyers and business community will also be allotted apartments and flats.

The Federal Minister said that various national and foreign firms and companies have shown their interest in the construction of flats, apartments and houses. Rehmatullah Kakar said that Capital Development Authority would be brought under the administrative control of the Ministry of Housing and works.-SANA
