5 killed in Karachi violence: CM calls IGP


KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has called IG Sindh Police over the present situation here on Wednesday afternoon in which five persons were killed. The number of deceased in the Karachi violence has risen to two on Wednesday afternoon, following the armed clashed erupted outside Malir Bar, where two groups entered into gun battle.

At least seven injured including a child have been brought to Civil Hospital, according to media on Wednesday afternoon Karachi is once again witnessing the violence on Wednesday, when all the trade centres of the city have been closed following agitation erupted in various parts of the country. In an incident of violence, various people entered into armed clash in front of Malir Bar and City Court.

Many people are reported to have been injured, when some unknown people took resort to aerial firing in various areas of Karachi including Burns Road, Ranchore Lines. Some people snatched the camper from a private TV channel Camera person Lala Rukh.

A building with lawyers offices on MA Jinnah Road was torched. The panes and doors of several shops at MA Jinnah road were smashed into pieces. According to a private TV channel, many vehicles have been set on fire in different parts of Karachi. According to media, at least, 40 vehicles have been torched.-SANA
