KARACHI: Former Chief Minister Sindh, Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim, has said that his humiliation and insult on the occasion of oath taking ceremony in Sindh Assembly was a preplanned drama as the PPP leaders feigningly were asking the people not to be disruptive. He said, “The people present inside the assembly misbehaved with me, beat me up with the shoes, hurled stones, but somehow I managed to escape alive.”
Talking to a private TV channel he said that he had gone to the assembly for taking oath, when he was assured of his security and that there would be no outsider over there, but you saw what happened. He said that it was a thought out drama as he never issued statements which can provoke people. “Others also keep issuing statements, but they are not being beaten in reaction”, he argued.
He said that he could not solve this matter, as he escaped saving his life from the assembly even today, now going to the House tantamount to risking life and added such incidents cause martial law.-SANA
