ISLAMABAD:A delegation of the family members of missing persons headed by Amina Masood Janjua, Chairpersons, Defence of Human Rights, called on the leader of the House in Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani in his chamber here Monday and discussed the matter of missing persons. On this occasion, Mian Raza Rabbani said that the case of missing persons is a very serious issue and needs attention of present regime.
He said, this issue is related with the Ministry of Law but as a politician and worker of PPP he will do his best efforts for providing relief to deprived family members. He assured that this issue will be forwarded to the Human Rights Committee of Parliament to review the case and provide justice to the family members of missing persons.
He said PPP believed on supremacy of law and constitution and we will not take any action against the constitution and law of country. He assured the delegation that he will provide help and his assistance to solve this issue on humanitarian grounds. He further said that this matter will also be discussed with Prime Minister with the request that he will look into matter on humanitarian grounds so that relief would be provided to deprive family members of missing persons.-SANA
