ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority officials have launched a lobbying campaign to oust the CDA chairman Kamran Lashari. According to sources, certain CDA officials, headed by a Deputy Director General, are engaged in making contacts with office bearers of Pakistan Peoples Party Islamabad.
The lobbyists include officials who were relieved of the additional charge of other directorates and also the ones who have been subject to disciplinary actions due to poor performance in the developmental projects recently. Sources told that some CDA officials want to remove CDA chairman Kamran Lashari but the later had a meeting with Prime Minister Gillani who, while appreciating the beautification of Islamabad, asked Lashari to continue in his capacity as chairman CDA.
When SANA contacted Rawal Khan Matla, Director Public Relations for comments, he said that there was no lobbying against CDA chairman. He termed all such news as rumors with no consequences. He said that Lashari was satisfied with the efficiency of all the CDA officials. He praised Lashari for taking undeniable steps for the beautification of Islamabad and resolving issues of the CDA workers and residents.-SANA
