Jamia Hafsa female students vow to continue struggle

ISLAMABAD: The Jamia Hafsa Talibat have vowed to continue their demonstrations and struggle to press the new government till the reconstruction of the Jamia Hafsa starts and those responsible for the operation against the religious seminary are taken to task. The Jamia Hafsa female students will continue to stage demonstrations in Islamabad and other parts of the country until their demands are met by the government, reported BBC quoting students of the demolished seminary.

They said the operation against lal Masjid was a conspiracy and President Pervez Musharraf and the ministers of the previous government are responsible for the assassination of Ghazi Abdul Rashid. They said that the responsible persons would be brought to justice. They praised the Prime Minister for issuing an order of preparing a report about the Lal Masjid operation and detention of Maulana Abdul Aziz.

They demanded of the new government to act upon the order issued by Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar regarding the Jamia Hafsa wherein it was said that the Jamia Hafsa should be reconstructed and a criminal case registered against those responsible for the operation. They said that the reconstruction has not been started.-SANA
