Govt. committed to restoration of judges: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: PML-N Information Secretary and Federal Minster for Education has described the reports about hurdles in the restoration of the judiciary as a disinformation saying the coalition government was committed to the restoration of judiciary. Talking to BBC, he reiterated that in accordance with the Murree Declaration the judiciary will be resorted to the position of 2nd November 2007.

“We have said about the disinformation which is being spread in the newspaper that we want to make it clear that this coalition is committed to the Murree Declaration. Insha Allah the Judiciary which was dismissed unconstitutionally by Musharraf on 3rd November will be restored within 30 days so that the rule of law returns to this country,” he said. “We believe that General Musharraf is an unconstitutional President. We believe that the sooner General Musharraf resigns, the better it will be for Pakistan and it for his own self also,” he said.-SANA
