ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Thursday received a telephonic call from Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who extended him felicitations on assuming the office of Foreign Minister of Pakistan. The Indian Minister for External Affairs also expressed condolences on the shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while thanking to Mukherjee stressed the need and importance of peace and stability in the region for the common benefit of the peoples of the two countries. Noting the improvement in bilateral relations and Confidence Building Measures, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan was proposing dates for holding the review meetings of the fourth round of the ongoing composite dialogue process between the two countries. The Foreign Minister added that he looked forward to welcoming Mukherjee to Pakistan for the review meeting.-SANA
