AG NWFP resigns

PESHAWAR: Advocate General of NWFP, Pir Liaquat Ali Shah has resigned from his post. Talking to a private TV channel, Pir Liaquat Ali Shah said he resigned from the post of Advocate General of NWFP in view of personal reasons. “I have tendered the resignation to Governor NWFP, Awais Ghani,” he said, adding, “He would continue to serve till appointment of new Advocate General if the new government directed him to do so.”

Pir Liaquat Ali Shah was appointed Advocate General on May 23, 2006 in the government of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and served for about one year and ten months.-SANA
