Hafsa’s students protest, PM takes notice

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has taken notice of the protest staged by female students regarding Lal masjid and Jama’a Hafsa. Prime Minister has also ordered the Interior Ministry to submit report after evaluating the matter of Lal Masjid and Jama’a Hafsa.

The Prime Minister has instructed the Interior Minister to submit a report after going into details regarding the reconstruction of Lal Masjid, Jama’a Faridya as well as release of Maulana Abdul Aziz. Raza Gillani asked the Interior Minister to ensure implementation of the orders, regarding Jama’a Hafsa’s operation, issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The Interior Ministry called in a meeting in this connection on Tuesday. The ministry has called another meeting on the issue on today (Wednesday). All the issues relating to Jam’a Hafsa including order of the court in this connection will be considered thoroughly in the meeting. Administration and CDA officials will also participate in the meeting. It is pertinent to mention that female students of Jama’a Hafsa held a protest in front of Zardari House on Monday after which the Prime Minister came into action.-SANA
