Authority to kick out occupants of lodges, hostel

ISLAMABAD: Operation plan against illegal occupants of Parliament Lodges has been approved as the newly elected Members of National Assembly are facing difficulties. The operation against illegal occupant will be carried out on Thursday. To ensure kicking out of the illegal residents in the Parliament Lodges Senior Special Magistrate of CDA, personnel of enforcement and police will participate in the operation.

Parliamentarians are facing difficulties in getting rooms in the lodges although the newly elected Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi has allotted rooms in the Government Hostel and the lodges to them. Taking notice of the situation Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari instructed enforcement personnel, Special Magistrate and Directorate of Parliament Lodges to carry out a joint operation. The Capital police may reinforce the move. Directorate of Parliament Lodges has sent a list of illegal occupants to its officials.

Sources have informed that individuals who are occupying Rooms no. 22, 25, 32, 57, 62, 69, 72, 88, 119, 126, and 132 in the Government Hostel are making use of the influential persons to stop leaving of the rooms. When contacted for official version a senior CDA official said, “Deputy Speaker allots rooms and lodges but don’t ensure that who is occupying the room. They transfer all the responsibility onto the shoulders of CDA. CDA will do all it can for vacating the places.”-SANA
