Rashid warns of quitting PML-Q

ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister for Railway Shiekh Rashid has warned Chaudhru Shjaat Hussain of quitting the party if policies of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) are not reassessed till April 30. He said that April 30 was a deadline adding that he will organize his own party if the policies of the Q league remained unchanged after the date.

Talking to a private TV channel Sheikh Rashid said rulers commit mistake, which are exploited by the opposition. He said, “Now we should learn from the defeat of the Q league. Victory cannot educate someone as a defeat can. Now we should change our strategy to take the people in confidence.”

He said that he is not optimistic about the recent ruling alliance as PPP and PML-N have different party cultures. He said that the present ruling alliance was saying continuously that they had inherited the problems. He said, “I say we have brought the rulers to solve the problems.” To a question he said that MQM wants to play politics limited to Sindh and therefore its alliance with ruling parties was a wise step. -SANA
