Quetta: For the first time in history of Pakistan only one person will play role of opposition in Balochistan province. Government formation Process in center and provinces is almost coming to end, but in Balochistan an interesting situation is emerging as the only person, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, will play role of opposition.

For the first time in the history of the country only one person, instead, of a party will be in opposition. Most likely, he will oppose the nominated chief minister of PPP, Aslam Raesani, because of the tribal enmity. Tribal enmity has been going on between Raesani and Rind tribes for the last 21 or more years. Many people, including father and brother of Aslam Raesani and a brother of Yar Muhammad Rind, have been killed in the rivalries.

Mr. Rind is a member of PML-Q and Raesani represent PPP in the provincial assembly of Balochistan. After the elections both of them were struggling for the top political position in the province, not for the sake of democracy but for the survival of their respective tribes. Nawab Aslam Raesani won the race finally.

The interesting point is that PPP with 10 seats has succeeded in getting support of 61 MPAs out of total 63 members in Balochistan Assembly. Though PML-Q had 20 seats in the provincial assembly and Chaudhry Shjaat Hussain as well as Mushahid Hussain visited Quetta to keep them united, but its several members started support of PPP. Now no political party is ready to join opposition and joining the ruling alliance by PML-Q can not be ruled out as JUI (F) and PML-N has already allied PPP. -SANA
