ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the new parliament can complete its full tenure provided it maintain good working relationship with the President and having respect for the state institutions. Talking to journalists, he asked the leaders of the political parties to show responsibility and avoid confrontation. He said that PML (Q) will do positive opposition in center and Punjab and only endorse the policies and suggestions floated by treasury benches for the welfare of common man.
He said that PPP C-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari was showing signs of being mature politician while the stubborn attitude and ego of PML (N) Chief Nawaz Sharif could result in confrontation between the parliament and judiciary.“Nawaz’s stubborn attitude and ego could bring the judiciary and parliament into a conflict which would be disastrous for the democratic process,” he said. He said that PML (Q) would field its candidates for Speaker and Deputy Speaker in the National Assembly while decision on premiership candidate would be taken after seeking nominee of the coalition partners.-SANA
