ISLAMABAD: A three-member PPP delegation called on Mr. Alen Keen, British Member of Parliament at his office in Central London to press the party’s case for UN investigations in the assassination of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and free and fair elections.

The delegation also apprised the British MP of what it called the persecution and victimization of PPP workers and the plans to rig the upcoming election. It urged UK government support for UN probe into the assassination and for putting pressure on the regime in Pakistan to hold free and fair elections.

The delegation also apprised Mr. Alan Keen of how pre-polls rigging were taking place by implicating thousands of PPP workers in false cases to immobilize them in the elections. Keen said that he will form a group of likeminded MPs and Ministers to raise these issues in the British Parliament. The PPP delegation, will also meet Members of European Parliament on Monday.-SANA
