Local govt to review law, order situation in Larkana

LARKANA: District Nazim Larkana Mohammad Bakhsh Arijo will preside over a meeting to discuss law and order situation during the Muharram-ul-Harram (1429 A.H.) in the district here on Monday. Larkana has been declared a sensitive district after the tragic death of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. The meeting will discuss and review the law and order situation during the month of Muharram-ul-Harram in the district. The meeting will also discuss to re-establish the district and taluka peace committees, to remove encroachment on route of Muharram processions.

The meeting will discuss and issue directives to HESCO authorities for removal of electric wires, hanging on routes of processions. Directives will also be issued to the taluka, Union Council Nazims and Councilors to associate with the in-charge and leaders of the Muharram-ul-Harram processions from their concerned areas. Tehsil Municipal Administration has also been directed to cover open main holes of gutters in routes of the processions through the concerned Municipal Administrations.-SANA
