LARKANA: The 80th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was observed Saturday here and throughout the country with simplicity. Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was born on January 5, 1928 in the home of Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto. The celebrations were marred as the PPP is observing 40-day mourning over tragic assassination of former PPP chairperson and daughter of Z.A. Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto.
PPP Larkana chapter celebrated Bhutto’s birth anniversary of with simplicity. The party workers and leaders held Quran Khuwani and Naat recitation early in the morning at Garhi Khuda Bux. PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari along with local, provincial party leaders and workers attended the Quran Khuwani and offered Fateha at the graves of Z. A. Bhutto and his daughter Benazir Bhutto and laid floral wreaths on the graves.
While PPP (SB) Chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto along with Fatima Bhutto, Zulifiqar Junior and other party leaders and workers attended Quran Khuwani and offered Fateha at Al-Murtaza House Larkana. Asif Ali Zardari, the PPP Co-chairman, in his short message on the occasion said that the party will move forward and do well to remember Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and her daughter Benazir Bhutto. He said that the PPP represented politics of the federation of Pakistan and millions of loving workers, friends and supporter will never forget their beloved leaders. Zardari said that at this crucial time of trouble and sorrow, the PPP supporters appeared equally committed to Z. A. Bhutto’s cause, and added that they would not let down the nation. Later, Zardari left for a two-day visit to Dubai to meet his children there.-SANA
