LAHORE: Central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Makhdoom Amin Fahim said that the party would decide nomination for the premiership. Talking to media at the Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Thursday, he said he does not say himself the candidate for the premiership and the party would decide in this connection. He said that the people of Sindh have no complaint against the Punjabis and added that the Sindhis still consider the Punjabis their big brothers and both would participate together in the elections.
Amin Fahim said that he would not say anything about Chaudhry Pervez Elahi but this is the fact that there is no hatred against the Punjabis in the province of Sindh. Replying a question regarding his absence in the PPP’s press conference the other day, he said that by spreading misunderstandings, some elements are propagating unsuccessfully against him and the party.
He warned if the elections are not held in transparent manner then the People’s Party would not be responsible for the post-elections situation. Replying to a question regarding the PPP’s going from the Bhutto family to the Zardari family, Amin Fahim said that the political parties are not the heritage of any family. He said that no contact was made with the President’s House and said that the Scotland Yard would be provided full assistance in investigation of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.-SANA
