HANDWARA: In yet another incident fire incident, eight residential houses, two cowsheds, four kothars (small primitive huts) were destroyed and several cattle were roasted alive at Khan Mohalla Barai Vilgam Handwara. Fire broke out from the house of one Ghulam Ahmad Khan during the wee hours on Sunday, soon engulfing adjoining houses and other structures.A local resident Bashir Ahmad Sheikh said, “It was 4.30 am in the morning when we saw flames raging from the house of Ghulam Ahmad Khan. However, Assistant Director, Fire and Emergency services, Reyaz-ud-din told etala’at, “Only one residential house, four cowsheds and two kothars were consumed in the fire incident.”Police is ascertaining the cause of fire that consumed the house of Saifudin Mir Ghulam Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Mir, Fateh Mohammad Khan, Mohammad Sultan Khan, Assuadullah Khan and Abdul Ahad Khan.-SANA
