Abbasi elected President ICCI unopposed

ISLAMABAD: Mohammed Ijaz Abbasi will replace Nasir Khan as President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) as he was elected unopposed. As per details, the Founder Group won the ICCI elections unopposed and elected Mohammed Ijaz Abbasi as the Commerce new President while Munawar Iqbal and Abdul Ghaffar Chaudhry were elected as Senior Vice President and Vice President of the ICCI respectively.

The elections of the top office bearers held peacefully under the supervision of returning officer Khalid Javeed and he announced in large gathering that all top office bearers are elected unopposed. Addressing a large gathering, Founder Group Chairman Munawar Moughal said that traders and industrialists are united and founder group succeeded due to its better performance. He said that result showed that founder group is the true representative of traders and industrialists and the success indicates good performance of the group.

The outgoing ICCI President Nasir Khan congratulated the new team and advised them to work for better interest of business community. He said that they had completed their tenure with full commitment and dedication.Former presidents ICCI Mian Akram Farid, Mian Shaukat Masood, Zubair Ahmed Malik, Tariq Sadiq and Abdul Rouf congratulated the new members.-SANA
