ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Saturday has rejected the government stance that the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto died after banging her head on the sunroof of her vehicle. Bhutto’s spokeswoman Sherry Rehman, who was involved in washing her body for burial, said that she had seen a bullet wound in Bhutto’s head. “There was a bullet wound I saw that went in from the back of her head and came out the other side,” she said and added that the government claim was ridiculous, dangerous nonsense because it is a cover-up of what actually happened.
She said that she herself has seen the bullet wound that went in from the back of Bhutto’s head. She said that the government was adding insult to the injuries by fabricating such false stories. Benazir Bhutto, she maintained, fell down as she was hit by bullet. She accused the government of not taking proper security measures for the PPP rally on that day which caused the death of Benazir Bhutto and 30 other people.-SANA
