Conference on Pak economy

ISLAMABAD: A conference on “Pakistan Economy: An Assessment with Special Reference to Quality of Life” would be held Tuesday organised by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) in collaboration with Hans Seidel Foundation.Prof. Dr. Syed Nawab Haider Naqvi, Director General, Federal Urdu University; Prof. Khurshid Ahmed, Chairman IPS; Dr. Rafiq Ahmed, Former VC, University of the Punjab will chair the three respective sessions of the event which will be held at the IPS building in Markaz F-7 Islamabad.

Mr. Sartaj Aziz, former finance minister and Voice Chancellor, Beacon House National University will make a keynote speech in the inaugural session while Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Chairman National Commission for Governance Reforms, will be chief guest in the concluding session. The conference aimed to seek and explore as to how the developments in the national economy in yester years have impacted upon the ‘Quality of Life’ and come up with concrete recommendations.-SANA
