ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information Technology Abdullah Riar has said that all the political parties are being provided equal opportunities in the election process so that the new elected government would be able to tackle the problems being faced by the people. Inaugurating the Hospital Management Information System at Capital Hospital, he said that the caretaker government is committed to hold free, fair and transparent elections.
He said the President has already taken oath of the office as civilian and the transition towards full democracy will be completed with the forthcoming general elections.The Minister said the government has taken concrete steps for the promotion of Information Technology in the country to meet the modern age requirements for the development and prosperity of the country.
He urged the hospital management to fully adopt the computer technology in the hospital and computerized the entire record of the patients. He said Ministry of Information Technology has provided 38 million rupees to the management of the Hospital for computerization which will also facilitate the patients.
Chairman CDA Kamran Leshari, on the occasion, said that 500 computers will be installed to computerize the record of the Capital Development Authority to facilitate the public and all the staff of CDA will be trained to use the modern technology.-SANA
